40 year old Aboriginal woman is seeking assistance as she works to rebuild a safe and stable home for her family after escaping domestic violence 18 months ago.
She is currently supporting seven children who have returned to live with her, including a son receiving treatment for ADHD who attends a special needs school and requires ongoing support. She has also recently welcomed home a daughter who returned with serious health concerns and required hospital treatment.
The family is living on a single parenting payment, which is stretched across daily living costs, travel, and ongoing medical appointments, leaving very limited capacity to afford essential household items for the family.
Despite significant hardship, she is doing her best to carefully manage her finances, support her children’s health and education needs, and create a safe, stable environment as they rebuild their lives together.
