We are supporting a First Nations mother with a large family who has been displaced since late 2025 and experiencing hardship. The situation worsened after a traumatic incident - her youngest child sustained serious burns, creating significant emotional, practical and financial strain. Securing suitable housing has been extremely difficult due to the size of the family and the needs of two children living with disabilities.
The family has recently been relocated to temporary accommodation 30 minutes away while awaiting permanent housing. The displacement has caused severe financial stress. During the move, belongings were stolen and essential clothing was damaged by rain - now unusable.
The mother is a survivor of domestic violence and is currently facing significant economic hardship. Urgent assistance is needed to replace essential items, support the child’s recovery, and provide stability during this difficult time.
