Grocery Voucher - $20

This young single mum hasn't had long term stable accommodation since giving birth to her son 2 years ago. She experienced serious domestic violence with the father of her baby and has been moving from family and friend's homes ever since. She is on the public housing wait list which is many years. She has applied to multiple young parent transitional accommodation services, which are all full at the moment. She has been applying for multiple private rentals but on a single mother's parenting payment, she is getting nowhere. She was given 3 months to move out of her latest accommodation and in her final couple of weeks she applied to rent a chalet in a caravan park and was successful. Even though this is not a long-term solution she is grateful that she has a roof over her and her toddler's head and a small place she can call home. Mum is determined to provide a good life for her son but needs support to build her confidence and capacity to do so.
