I am writing on behalf of an older Aboriginal woman we are currently supporting who is a survivor of family and domestic violence. She lives alone and is working hard to maintain her independence and stability following significant hardship.
Unfortunately, her washing machine has recently stopped working and is beyond economical repair. Due to her limited financial circumstances, she is unable to afford the cost of replacing it herself. Access to a functioning washing machine is essential for maintaining her health, wellbeing, dignity, and ability to live independently.
