2025 Tropical Cyclone Alfred
The applicant’s family is still facing serious challenges after Cyclone Alfred and ongoing domestic violence. Last year, the applicant’s health problems resulted in them being placed into a coma, making things even harder at home. The family’s property and car have been damaged during incidents of domestic violence, and their washing machine stopped working because of damp and mould caused by the cyclone. They have had to rely on family and neighbours for help with laundry. The applicant is asking for urgent help to get a new washing machine, which would make a big difference to the family’s health and wellbeing as they recover from months of hardship and trauma.
