The client is a Aboriginal sole parent caring for her child18 months. She is experiencing significant financial hardship and is at risk of homelessness due to domestic & family violence. The client is no longer receiving financial or practical support from the children's father and is struggling to meet the costs of raising her childindependently.
The client works part-time to provide for her family; however, childcare fees and everyday living expenses are placing considerable pressure on her limited income. She is having difficulty meeting essential expenses, including rent, food, utilities, and the children's basic needs. With Christmas approaching, she is also concerned about being able to provide gifts, clothing, food, and other necessities for her children.
The ongoing stress associated with domestic violence, housing insecurity, and financial hardship has contributed to the client experiencing depression and anxiety.
