This recipient is currently a Year 12 student with a strong interest in securing an automotive apprenticeship after finishing school. To be considered for many of these opportunities, he needs to have his learner’s permit/driver’s licence.
This young person lives at home with dad, who supports both his brother and him as a single parent. With the rising cost of living, it has been difficult for their family to cover the $150 required for the learner’s permit application and PDA assessment. Without this assistance, this young person will not be able to obtain his license, due to their financial difficulties.
Receiving financial assistance to obtain his learner’s permit would allow him to apply for a wider range of apprenticeship opportunities and take an important step toward achieving his goal of working in the automotive industry.
