A young woman, with ongoing mental health concerns, and most recently post-natal depression after giving birth and having nowhere stable to call home. My client is currently homeless and is staying in motels which are extremely noisy and at times unsafe, which adds to her stress and worry, as she tries to protect her newborn child. My client lost her father a year ago, who was her greatest of supports, as she is estranged from the rest of her family. My client is trying her best to give her newborn child a good start in life, which means she is sacrificing her own health needs to ensure that her baby does not do without. My client is unable to work, as she is suffering with post-natal depression and being a fulltime time mum to her newborn baby. Pregnancy was not easy for my client, as her baby was a high-risk pregnancy and she was in a car accident during the pregnancy whilst living in and out of motels.
