A young First Nations family with five very young children has experienced a devastating house fire, losing their home and virtually everything they owned. The family includes four-year-old triplet boys, a three-year-old girl and a two-year-old boy.
The circumstances of the fire were extremely traumatic. The mother was forced to escape the burning home by jumping from the house and is currently recovering from her injuries and the trauma of the event. The children are currently being cared for by their grandfather while she recovers.
Sadly, the family did not have contents insurance and are now faced with rebuilding their lives from the ground up. With five young children and very limited resources, the financial and emotional impact is overwhelming. Community support would provide much-needed stability and hope as this young family recovers, rebuilds and works towards being together again.
