Aboriginal mother has spent years bouncing from house to house and struggling to maintain her children. Multiple DV relationships leading to family law proceedings and child safety requirements to retain her children.
Has faced severe economic distress and has attempted to maintain work whilst homeless to secure stable accommodation for her children to live in a safe environment. Has finally located secure housing and this returned three of her seven children to her care. She has been able to send her son to attend a better school and assists her eldest daughter to attend work and gain her licence.
After years of stress and homelessness she has a safe place to live, however due to the economic burden of trying to pay for somewhere to live and ensure her kids get everything they need, she now is struggling to sufficiently furnish her new community house.
