This person is a 26-year-old Aboriginal woman who is a single parent of two children, frequently in trouble with the law usually over minor theft issues. Her offending is not particularly negatively motivated and often arises out of necessity. Despite there being a someone robust support system with foodbank and secondhand stores, there remains the impulse to shop lift to provide for herself and her family. The consequence is then a criminal record and sentencing requirements. She would benefit from coupons for the grocery store and for Big W or K Mart. We consider her a good prospect for success if supports are in place.
