This woman is experiencing significant financial hardship following a workplace injury that has reduced her income and limited her capacity to recover financially. She is also a victim-survivor of domestic and family violence and continues to navigate the long-term effects of trauma, financial insecurity, and rebuilding her life independently.
In addition, she is still dealing with the aftermath of natural disaster damage to her home. Despite her best efforts, many essential repairs remain incomplete, and she is currently living with concrete floors and without a functioning oven or stovetop.
For the past two years, the client has been unable to afford to replace these essential appliances. Living alone on a limited income, she has spoken about how much she misses being able to prepare a simple home-cooked meal. The lack of cooking facilities has affected both her quality of life and her ability to prepare affordable, nutritious meals at home
