The flood waters reached the level of the roof gutters. Following the flood, this proud, elderly couple quickly lost hope of finding the financial assistance they needed to resecure the foundations of their home and replace the roof. By the time they were 'found' and helped, savings were significantly impacted. They recently reoccupied their house, but are now compromising on shopping and healthy food due to costs of living and fuel and the ongoing costs associated with replacing items lost in the flood.
