A 46-year-old woman has recently escaped a violent situation with her daughter and son and is now working desperately to rebuild her life. She is in the process of trying to regain custody of her son, navigating an incredibly complex and emotionally taxing legal system on her own.
Tragically, her daughter has since forced her out of the home and destroyed her laptop, cutting off her ability to communicate with Legal Aid, complete court requirements, or apply for employment. This has left her isolated, distressed, and without the basic tools needed to move forward.
Any support we can offer would make a profound difference in helping this woman regain stability, advocate for her child, and take the first steps toward safety and independence.
