Mum is a single mum of 3 kids (one 14 and two toddlers). She is currently pregnant with her 4th baby and has had to fly from Broome where they usually live to Perth for an MRI. From this MRI, mum has been told that she must stay in Perth due to complications with the pregnancy until after the baby is born.
Mum and the kids are homeless in Broome and she budgets her Centrelink income well. In Perth they are off country, away from their usual family and community supports, and are not in accommodation that appropriately supports a family.
Support with food vouchers will allow mum to relieve stress about getting food on the table for the kids and allow her to prioritize her health.
