Fuel Voucher - $50

We have had an elderly man come through to our program seeking assistance with food, fuel, and rent. He has recently has surgery due to the wooden stick of a kebab breaking off and entering his stomach, this wooden splinter has poked through his stomach and into his heart, causing immense pain and discomfort. This man is struggling at the moment to afford fuel to attend the many post surgery doctors appointments, alongside the continued growing prices of fuel, food and rent.

This man has only recently started working full time and has no annual or sick leave available and is unable to access centrelink for up to 8 weeks due to being a New Zealand citizen, by the time Centrelink could support, this man will be back at work.

This man was impacted by the 2022 floods where he was staying at the caravan park in Lismore, he has worked extensively to find long term accommodation and employment to get back on his feet after losing everything he owned.
