At just a young age, this courageous teen made the difficult decision to leave her family home and community due to generational trauma. After a very long period of couch surfing and even sleeping in a car, she has finally found a place to call home — a huge milestone that she achieved on her own.
Now, she’s experiencing another life-changing journey: motherhood and is the proud mum of a 1-month-old.
She and her partner are doing everything they can to build a stable life for their growing family with no support from friends or family. Despite their best efforts, they are doing it very tough and are living week to week. As all good parents, mum and dad are putting baby's needs first and are often foregoing essential items for themselves as they cannot stretch the budget. Some groceries vouchers will provide the family with much needed relief.
