Client is a 39-year-old woman experiencing complex mental health challenges, with a history of homelessness. She has recently secured accommodation at a caravan park and is working hard to maintain this stability with the support of her assistance dog.
She is currently seeking financial assistance to obtain basic household essentials, including cupboards, shelving, clothing, a bin, plates and cutlery, as well as dog toys and food. At present, the majority of her income is allocated to essential expenses such as medication, rent, and food for both herself and her dog.
The client is receiving WorkCover payments at a rate equivalent to the DSP, which leaves little capacity to meet these additional setup costs. Any support provided would make a meaningful difference in helping her establish a safe, functional living environment and sustain her tenancy. Thank you.
