The family consists of mum and her three children. Due to the physical violence in home, the father releasing their pets and his controlling behaviours they children are working through very complex trauma. The mum is not able to work due to seizures developed as a result of the strangulation. This has placed significant hardship on the family and the family, while managing resources carefully, struggles with being able to afford additional expenses. The youngest child has a diagnosis of ASD2 and the mum takes him to and from appointments placing extra burden on car expenses. Recently the mum had her license suspended due to her seizures and if there is not a relative or friend to help transport them to and from appointment she relies on paid public transport.
