This family is currently experiencing significant hardship and instability, with the children living in an environment impacted by ongoing family and domestic violence. As a result, the home has not always felt safe or secure, and the children are showing clear signs of emotional distress, including anxiety, withdrawal, and trauma-related behaviours.
The primary caregiver is doing her best to support and protect the children under extremely challenging circumstances, while also managing her own mental health and the impacts of past trauma. With very limited support, she is largely navigating these challenges on her own.
At present, the family is struggling to meet basic day-to-day needs. Financial stress, combined with instability in their living situation, has made it difficult to consistently provide essentials such as food and transport. Access to fuel is critical for attending appointments and getting children to school.
