Due to the behavioural difficulties of the oldest child, the home is unsafe. Some of these behaviours include threats of violence and physical violence, the young person entering rooms when the family is sleeping to steal money/credit cards/ items to sell and bringing antisocial people over at night when the family are sleeping that have made threats towards the family. To feel safer the mum has advised she would feel safer with having locks on all of the doors and security camera's that alert when there is people at the home. The older child also requires a lock on her door so she has a private space she can regulate her emotions without the fear someone will enter. The younger child is 11 and requires a lock on her door due to the older males the older child is bringing over without permission. These safety precautions will support the family feeling safer but also demonstrate to the court that the mum is doing everything in her power to protect both children, so they are not taking off her and put in the care of an abuser.
