A parent and their children’s lives was turned upside down when the home they were renting was completely destroyed in the Jan 2026 Harcourt bushfires.
In a matter of moments, they and their children lost all their belongings, everything that had made their house a home. Securing new housing has been an important step forward, but starting again from nothing is overwhelming.
Without any possessions, they are now faced with the daunting task of rebuilding a home and restoring a sense of stability and normalcy for their children.
