This elderly widow is living on her own, was significantly impacted by the 2022 flood disaster in Forbes. She had to replace most of her electrical appliances and belongings within her home. Her trust in humanity placed her in a vulnerable position; all of the replacements and the cleaning of the property has been at exorbitant personal expense. And there is more that needs to be done to get her home liveable again.
She has received no assistance for mould treatment or for repairs to the home itself. The laundry is in worst state of repair; tiles have now fallen off the wall due to wall movement of the house. She has been prioritising her bills to her overall wellbeing, particularly with regard to purchasing fresh food produce and the amount of food she is consuming.
