This family has experienced over two years of homelessness due to family and domestic violence and complex challenges, including past addiction issues and mental health. During this time, the children have faced significant instability, including periods without secure housing and the trauma associated with their father’s imprisonment for FDV-related offences.
Despite these challenges, the family has demonstrated remarkable resilience. The children are now actively engaged in school and daycare, and both participate in soccer, providing positive structure, routine, and connection within their community.
With a permanent housing opportunity now secured, the family is starting from scratch and urgently requires:
Whitegoods: fridge, washing machine
Furniture: beds and mattresses, lounge, dining table/chairs
Laundry items: baskets, hampers, clothes airer
Kitchen essentials: cookware, utensils, plates, cups, kettle, toaster
