A resilient young family is currently experiencing homelessness following the recent incarceration of their mother. The eldest daughter, aged 18, has stepped into a caregiving role for her younger siblings (aged 7 and 9),
Despite limited supports, she is doing her best to maintain stability for the children, ensuring they attend school each day by navigating public transport and managing daily routines. The family has minimal extended support, although their grandfather may be able to provide temporary accommodation.
The young carer is actively seeking more stable housing where she can continue caring for her siblings and provide a safe, consistent environment. However, access to appropriate services and resources has been limited, making this transition particularly difficult.
