Recently relocated with three teenagers, including two with special needs who require additional support with daily routines, emotional regulation, and learning. We are still adjusting to a new environment, new schools, and new service providers.
Client is the primary Carer for her kids, while also managing my own complex health condition, including ongoing ovarian cancer that requires frequent medical appointments. Many of these appointments are in Melbourne, which is a long distance from our rural town, and she is unable to drive, making travel and coordination significantly more challenging.
These combined responsibilities have created significant financial, emotional, and logistical pressure. This includes the cost and time involved in long‑distance travel for medical care, the strain of managing multiple care needs at once, and the ongoing challenge of balancing my health requirements with the needs of the teenagers while we continue settling into a new community.
