A single woman was affected by the 2022 flood events. At the time, she was experiencing PTSD as a result of the traumatic impact of being flood‑affected while renting in the Uki area. She had been living independently when the floods occurred, which resulted in the loss of her rental property and most of her personal belongings.
Since then, she has endured a long journey of recovery while residing in temporary accommodation. During this period, she has shown resilience by commencing study and securing part‑time employment.
She has now secured a long‑term rental where she can regain stability and a sense of safety. To ensure she is able to settle comfortably into her new home, she requires support with essential household items.
Any assistance provided during this transition would be greatly appreciated.
