Client is an intelligent 44 year old male who is experiencing homelessness after a relationship breakdown and isolation. Client stayed in a property for 15 years and was technically squatting before the owner finally made contact after repeated attempts by client. The owner subsequently took possession of the property despite the judge acknowledging that the client had been maintaining the property and had not received any communication from the property owner in the period he was living there. After this, the client had a decline in mental and physical health and as a result is now experiencing homelessness.
