Single dad is supporting his 12-year-old daughter and awaiting an ASD diagnosis for her. The daughter has experienced significant bullying at her current and previous schools and has developed anxiety around attending and making new friends. She has been able to identify various things that she would like to try to use to cope with her anxiety (e.g., headphones, journals, fidget toys etc) around public transport, school and appointments whilst she waits for more formal supports (i.e., NDIS).
Dad is trying his best to provide these for her, however, is experiencing significant financial hardship due to the loss of his job because of a back injury.
