A courageous mum has fled a violent situation after being physically attacked by the children’s father. She left with her two children, aged 5 & 9, taking little more than the clothes on their backs & a few items for school. They are now living in temporary accommodation while she works to rebuild a safe life for her family.
In the midst of this upheaval, mum is determined to keep the children connected to the things they love. Both kids are passionate about football, and she hopes to keep them playing so they have something positive to look forward to and a sense of normality during a very uncertain time.
She is fighting with her phone provider to remove her former partner from the account so his abuse can no longer reach her, and has been told she isn’t eligible for DFV payments because she is no longer living at the property. We're working on that to make sure she is heard and to ease frustration
