This community member is 86 years old and continues to live independently in his own home. Despite his age, he remains active, still drives, and regularly assists others in the community wherever he can. He takes great pride in maintaining his independence and has always been someone who gives back rather than asks for help.
Unfortunately, the rising cost of living has placed significant financial pressure on him. After meeting the costs of housing, utilities, fuel, food and other essential expenses, there is very little remaining to cover replacement household items or unexpected costs. To help make ends meet, he has been attending our service each week for a food hamper for several months, which has become an essential source of support.
Assistance with a small number of items would make a meaningful difference to his quality of life, helping him remain safe, comfortable and independent in his own home while easing some of the financial burden he is currently experiencing
