Desperate need of an electric wheelchair

We are working with a gentleman who experienced a stroke. He has been left with left hand paralysis and isn't able to use a standard manual chair. He is in significant financial hardship and does not qualify for any government assistance. The hospital provided a manual chair, but it is now broken and is not able to be fixed.
We have reached out to ask the NDIS network if anyone knows of a wheelchair but no one has one. We can get one though the Lions but it will cost $500 and will require collection which will cost around $300. If anyone can assist in the Cairns region with a chair, or outside of Cairns with a donation it will enable this man to gain some independence and have a chance to start re building his life.
