Recipient story

DFV survivor mother of three, neurodivergent, facing housing, legal and financial stress while seeking safety and stability.
GIVIT
Domestic & Family Violence
This family is working to rebuild their lives after leaving a violent relationship. The mother made the difficult decision to prioritise safety for herself and her three children, resulting in sudden housing changes, legal stress and financial pressure. The emotional impact of trauma continues to affect daily life and wellbeing.
The children have experienced disruption and instability, including challenges with schooling, and their mother is doing her best to support them while managing her own mental health. As a neurodivergent parent, everyday tasks can be especially overwhelming when combined with trauma and uncertainty.
Despite these challenges, the family is motivated to create a safer, more stable future. Additional support at this time would help reduce stress and provide a foundation for recovery and stability.
