Family of 6 impacted by the Jan 26 fires
2026 Victoria Bushfires
PPR not impacted, property was tenanted and due to the fire damage caused property has been deemed unfit for the family. Actual house didn’t burn, smoke damaged, sheds, fences, pastures, chook pen unfit for a family to remain. Loss of rental income causing financial strain, Clean up required, travel costs delaying clean up. Children were staying with grandparents at the time of the fires on their school holiday break, needed to attend evacuation centre with grandparents. Children returned home but was impacted by event and worried for those living in the impacted area and their grandparents returning home.
