Supporting Community Connection Through English Learning

An elderly refugee couple is committed to building a new life in Australia and becoming active members of their local community. They are eager to improve their English so they can communicate with their neighbors, access services independently, and participate in community activities.
Both are currently enrolled in the Adult Migrant English Program (AMEP). However, due to their limited English proficiency, they have been advised that additional practice outside the classroom would greatly support their language development. Assistance with resources that encourage English learning and practice would help them gain confidence, reduce social isolation, and strengthen their connection to the community.
