The family would love to be able to have local owned businesses who have been significantly affected by the fires themselves be supported by purchasing materials at Yenkens Hardware. Bunnings Vouchers are very much appreciated if this option is not viable. materials such as pine sleepers, posts, ag pipe, pond liner, pvc pipes and elbow tubes, overflow piping, weed mat, scoria, compost and mulch are items that will help rebuild their wicking beds. Any support at all that can be offered for fencing rebuild is much appreciated.

They opened their land to neighbours in need. Help them rebuild the food and fencing taken by the fires.
2026 Victoria Bushfires
This family has shown extraordinary generosity in the wake of the January 2026 bushfires. Although their own property was significantly impacted, they opened their land to neighbours who lost everything, offering them a place to stay and somewhere to run cattle while they begin rebuilding their lives.
While their home remained standing, the fires destroyed the boundary fencing around their entire 10-acre property and wiped out their vegetable wicking beds, an important source of homegrown food for the family.
They are not asking for everything to be replaced, only for some help to gently restore what sustained them day to day. Vouchers to local businesses like, Yenckens Hardware, would allow them to rebuild their wicking beds and fencing while also supporting other fire-affected businesses in the community.
Your donation will not only help restore food-growing spaces and a start to fencing needs, but also give back to a family who, even in loss, chose to care for others.
