I am writing on behalf of my client, a single mother of five, who is currently experiencing severe hardship after escaping domestic and family violence. At present, she and her children are residing with another family, resulting in twelve individuals sharing a single home while they actively seek permanent accommodation. As a gesture of gratitude, my client has taken responsibility for the household laundry; however, this task has become increasingly challenging due to the absence of a clothesline—caused by recent storms—and a broken dryer. Additionally, rising grocery expenses and existing Afterpay debt have compounded their difficulties.
To help alleviate these challenges, I am respectfully requesting support for this family. Any assistance you could provide would have a significant impact as they strive to rebuild their lives.
