Lost everything during the 2025 Mid North Coast Floods
2025 NSW Mid North Coast & Hunter Floods
We are reaching out on behalf of an elderly community member who lost everything in the 2025 floods. Having lived in his home since the 1970s, he has weathered many floods over the years, but this one devastated his home and left him with almost nothing.
He is currently living in unsafe conditions, without proper walls, heating, or a functioning kitchen. A hardworking man who has spent his life working and supporting himself, he has been doing his best to carry on, but living on a pension has made recovery incredibly difficult.
Without access to flood insurance and with limited government assistance that will not cover the repairs needed, the road ahead is overwhelming. We simply ask the community to keep him in mind and support where possible through kindness, connection, advocacy, or sharing his story.
