Laptop Bag

After escaping family violence in Tasmania, this mum and her three young children relocated to Victoria to rebuild their lives. She has secured a home but arrived with only the clothes on their backs, leaving behind all belongings, including the children’s clothes and her laptop. With minimal furniture and groceries, each day is a struggle. The children have their own beds, but she sleeps on the floor, and her youngest has outgrown their toddler bed. Despite feeling isolated and overwhelmed, she remains determined to create a safe, stable home. She hopes to complete a family violence recovery course to become a peer support worker but cannot start without a laptop. Having sold her ring to make ends meet, she continues doing everything possible to protect her children and bring hope back into their lives.
