After fleeing serious domestic violence, one of our older female clients was forced to leave everything she knew behind to find safety. With nowhere else to turn, she moved more than two hours away and spent months living in boarding houses, carrying only the essentials and the hope of a better future.
Despite everything she has endured, she has never given up. Through courage and determination, she found a new job in her local community and has now signed the lease on a home of her own—a milestone that once felt out of reach.
She is beginning again with almost nothing. An empty house means starting from scratch, and the cost of setting up a home can feel overwhelming. Donations of kitchenware, furniture, bathroom essentials, and everyday household items will help turn four walls into a place of comfort, safety, and belonging.
