A Macbook Air The family’s 16-year-old daughter requires a laptop for her schooling. She is currently using a temporary loan device provided by her school; however, this arrangement is short term and the family must obtain their own computer. Due to the sudden loss of income following a recent brain cancer diagnosis in the family, they are unable to afford this essential educational item at present. A second-hand MacBook Air in good working condition would allow her to continue her education with stability during an incredibly difficult period for the family.

A family facing sudden financial hardship after a parent’s aggressive brain cancer diagnosis urgently needs support.

A family is experiencing severe financial hardship following the recent diagnosis of an aggressive brain tumour in the primary income earner. Prior to diagnosis, both adults in the household were self-employed and financially independent. Due to the rapid progression of the illness and intensive treatment schedule, both have now been unable to work, with one partner becoming the other’s full-time caregiver.

The diagnosis has caused significant fatigue, memory loss and cognitive changes, making it impossible for the individual to continue operating their business or manage existing commitments. With no ongoing income, no income protection insurance and limited savings remaining, the family’s financial situation has become critical.

They are doing their best to maintain stability for their children while navigating treatment, emotional stress and mounting living costs, and are now in urgent need of community support.
