Lost everything during the 2025 Mid North Coast Floods
2025 NSW Mid North Coast & Hunter Floods
We are seeking support for an elderly couple who lost everything in the 2025 Mid North Coast floods. They reside in a retirement village and was uninsured at the time of the disaster. Living on a very low income and experiencing mobility challenges, they have not been eligible for government grant assistance.
While they did not have many possessions, what she had were essential items that made the small unit safe, comfortable and functional. The floods have left them starting again from nothing.
Thanks to the generosity of local community groups, they have received support with some furniture and whitegoods. However, there are still several essential items needed to make her home fully livable again. These requests represent the final pieces of the puzzle in helping her regain comfort, dignity, and independence in her home.
