Seeking donations of 8 x bean bags, along with replacement fillings for existing bean bags that have been impacted by mould, for use in the youth drop-in space.
The youth drop-in space is a highly valued environment for young people accessing our services. Creating a safe, comfortable and welcoming setting is critical to engagement, particularly for young people who may be experiencing vulnerability or disengagement from formal supports.
Bean bags have been identified by young people as an important feature of the space, supporting relaxation, informal connection and a sense of belonging. Several existing bean bags are no longer usable due to mould contamination, creating both a health risk and a reduction in available seating.
Outcome:
Provision of new bean bags and replacement filling will:
Restore safe and appropriate furnishings within the space
Enhance the overall environment to support engagement and wellbeing
Contribute to a youth-friendly, trauma-informed se
