At our clinic, we see people every day who are facing challenges that affect their mental health and well-being. Many may feel isolated, overwhelmed or unsure where to turn for support. While our clinic provides individual care, we currently have no community groups where people can come together, share experiences and feel understood.
Establishing a mental health and well-being community group would create a safe, welcoming space where people can connect with others, learn coping strategies and build confidence. It would encourage open conversations, reduce stigma and remind people that they are not alone in their struggles.
By bringing people together, we can strengthen social connections, promote resilience and support recovery. A community group would extend our care beyond appointments, helping people feel connected, empowered and supported on their journey towards better mental health and well-being. We need funding to start the program as we currently don't have any.
