For many years, the mother and her children experienced significant physical, emotional and psychological abuse, resulting in ongoing trauma and instability. Making the decision to leave was incredibly difficult, but it was necessary to ensure the safety and wellbeing of herself and her children.
Since leaving the relationship, the family has faced numerous challenges. They have had to leave behind their home, belongings, support networks and sense of security in order to escape the violence. The children have experienced disruption to their education, friendships and daily routines, while their mother has been focused on securing safety, stability and access to support services.
Despite challenges, family remains determined to move forward and create a positive future. The mum is working hard to provide a safe, nurturing environment for her children while navigating the complex impacts of trauma, financial hardship and the ongoing process of rebuilding their lives from the ground up
