X and her daughter are Japanese nationals. Her daughter was 10 months old when they came to Australia with the understanding it would be a holiday however the father has weaponised the legal system against them to keep them here indefinitely. X and her child are very homesick and X struggles with a lot of health issues which she is requesting to go back to Japan to treat. Experienced DV and trauma which both were receiving counselling for but due to father’s manipulation was pulled out twice to the child’s detriment. X relies on Special Benefits as source of income but due to the nature of constantly having to reapply they are in dire straits financially and rely heavily on community services for consistent support with food and clothing. X's iPhone 14 is a necessity as she needs access to her translator to be able to communicate in English effectively. This is her key to staying linked with legal advocacy services but her phone is not in usable condition but can't afford replacement.
