Our client is a young Aboriginal woman preparing to welcome her first baby in just four weeks. She is currently navigating multiple complex challenges including a planned c section birth, un upcoming house move, financial hardship paying rent at both properties for a couple of weeks while she moves and has limited family support.
The clients partner lives with complex mental heal concerns and is non- verbal with autism spectrum disorder, creating additional caregiving and support needs within the household. the family has experienced domestic and family violence in the past and continues to work closely with services to improve their circumstances and prepare for the arrival of their baby.
The client is actively engaging with our service and planning for a safe and stable future for her baby and family.
however, due to limited income the significant cost if setting up a new home and preparing for a baby the family is experiencing considerable financial pressure.
