I am writing to share the story of a brave little girl and her mother who are currently facing an unimaginably difficult season.
Mum is a single parent to a young girl who was diagnosed a rare form of cancer that requires intensive treatment. While any parent would find this devastating, Mum is navigating this crisis under extreme circumstances having recently fled domestic violence. The transition to safety from domestic violence has already depleted her resources, and the added costs of the medical journey have led to severe financial distress.
We are reaching out to the community to help ease the burden so Mum can focus entirely on her daughter's recovery. Specifically, we are seeking support for:
• Fuel Assistance: To cover the frequent, long-distance trips to the hospital.
• Grocery Support: To ensure the family has access to nutritious meals and essential household items during treatment.
