Client is single parent, recently separated and caring for adolescent with complex disabilities.
Domestic & Family Violence
Client's current washing machine and dyer are unsuitable for her family size. Client's adolescent child is triggered by sensory aversion to certain types of clothing, requiring more frequent washing and drying. Client's adolescent child is using violence in the home. Client is unable to dry clothing on inside clothing racks due to this and damage to heating in the home. Provision of 8-10kg washer / dryer would make a huge difference in the day-to-day functioning of client's household. Client would be happy with a dyer if only one option could be provided. Client has a low-income due to caring responsibilities and cannot afford to purchase requested items. Provision of items would reduce stress and impact on clients 10yo child.
