Single man in his 50s who was renting a mobile home on his sister’s property when the Longwood bushfire destroyed his home, vehicle, clothing, household contents and all personal belongings. With no insurance and limited resources, he is struggling to replace essential items and re-establish stable living arrangements. While his family has accessed available State Government disaster recovery supports, he continues to experience significant hardship and is doing his best to make do. He has a 13-year-old son who stays with him on weekends and has also been significantly impacted by the disaster. Assistance with clothing, bedding, furniture, household essentials, vouchers would help him rebuild his independence and provide a safe, comfortable environment for his son.
